How will you remember your trip? So many creative ways to capture moments to remember:

*travel journal: paper or phone notes

*photography using a professional camera, mid-grade or Smartphone

*scrapbook

*send/collect postcards from the places you visit

*scetchbook of specific scenes you encounter

*memorabilia collections (magnets, mugs, spoons, rocks, bells, tickets, etc.)

*Instagram – what’s your hashtag (#storiedpassport, #headstandsaroundtheworld, #yogatravels, #wherewillyogatakeyou)

*Facebook (specific groups to post to)

*Snapchat

*Photo books (Shutterfly, Blurb, Artifact Uprising)

*Twitter, Foursquare, Flickr, 500px

*Pinterest

*live streaming

*story telling apps (Steller, Travelpod, Cameo, Storehouse)

*blog (storiedpassport.com is a good one!)

*vlog

*create playlists of music listened to in specific locations to bring you back to those moments (Taylor Swift you bring me to places you will never know!)

*selfie series (mine is #headstandsaroundtheworld)

The challenge is to pick the one’s that are manageable and sustainable if you are travelling for long periods of time. Personally, I will be using Facebook to post a larger collection of pictures much like a photo album, Instagram for short captions about what I’m seeing, my interpretations, little summaries, and quick stories, a travel journal to write personal and meaningful moments, and a blog for in depth descriptions of my moment by moment surroundings. I will use only my iPhone XR for photos and a lightweight laptop to update this blog. Wifi is now free in most restaurants, cafes, hostels/hotels and SIM cards are easily accessible in most countries – Vodofone is a common carrier abroad).

Will I have time to document everyday? Definitely not. I submerse myself in the moments very deeply for this to be a realistic goal. I figure I may update the blog once a week and Facebook/Instagram a little more frequently. Feel free to comment, share your stories, ask me questions or make any suggestions you think are relevant. I love meeting new people and sharing ideas with like minded peeps. You are my tribe…even if we don’t know each other yet!
